Shimla, March 6 -- The Himachal Pradesh University Teachers Welfare Association (HPUTWA) on Friday warned the state government of a decisive agitation over long-pending demands of university teachers.

The association said key issues, including pending arrears under the UGC 2016 pay scale through the Career Advancement Scheme (CAS), release of 13 per cent Dearness Allowance (DA), and construction of two residential buildings for teachers on the campus, remain unresolved.

HPUTWA president Prof. Nitin Vyas said the arrears under CAS and UGC 2016 scale are a statutory right of teachers and the delay has caused resentment among the faculty.
