Shimla, Oct. 27 -- Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has announced that Himachal Pradesh has become the first state in the country to provide Minimum Support Price (MSP) for naturally grown crops, including wheat, maize, turmeric, and sorghum.

Speaking on Sunday, Sukhu also highlighted that a minimum support price has been fixed for milk. He stated that despite the "dire financial situation," the Congress government continues to serve the people and move towards making Himachal self-reliant.

The Chief Minister also noted that Himachal Pradesh has joined the ranks of five leading states in human development, as reflected in the recent Himachal Pradesh Human Development Report (HPHD).
