Shimla, April 21 -- Senior BJP leader and state Vice President Vipin Parmar on Tuesday accused the Congress government of attempting to delay the urban local body elections, claiming that the process had been held back for nearly three to four months.

Welcoming the announcement of the poll schedule, Parmar said the BJP was fully prepared and had always remained election-ready due to its continuous engagement with the public.

He asserted that party workers across the state were geared up to contest the elections with full strength and organisational backing.
