Shimla, Oct. 21 -- The Himachal Pradesh Fire Services reported 47 fire incidents across the state during the Diwali period, successfully saving property valued at Rs 191.85 crore through swift response.
The incidents occurred between the evening of October 19 and the morning of October 21. Total losses were contained to Rs 1.40 crore, and no casualties or injuries were reported among civilians or firefighters.
According to the State Fire Service Control Room, Shimla district recorded the highest number of calls with 11 incidents, including three house fires.
