New Delhi, Jan. 3 -- Taking suo motu cognizance of the death of a 19-year-old second year college student of a government college in Himachal Pradesh's Dharamsala on December 26 following alleged ragging, the University Grants Commission (UGC) on Saturday constituted a fact-finding committee on Saturday.
The UGC said culprits would not be spared and that stringent action would follow while confirming that a detailed probe has been ordered.
The girl student was admitted to Dayanand Medical College and Hospital where she died on December 26 while undergoing treatment. The UGC's anti-ragging helpline has registered a suo motu complaint.
