Shimla, March 21 -- Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Speaker responded to concerns raised in the Assembly on Friday regarding the lack of invitations extended to elected Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) for public functions.
The Speaker clarified that the issue would be taken up by the Members' Amenity and Protocol Committee for further review.
The matter was raised during the Zero Hour when BJP MLA from Sundernagar, Rakesh Jamwal, informed the House that he had not been invited to the Nalwar state-level fair.
In his intervention, the Speaker acknowledged that this issue fell under the purview of both the Members' Amenity and Protocol panels, which would examine it.
