Shimla, March 20 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi on Thursday, urging the Centre to relax restrictions on external funding and borrowing limits imposed on the hill state.
The Chief Minister highlighted that the current caps have adversely impacted the state's financial position, stalling several key projects and hindering infrastructure development.
Accompanied by Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena, Principal Advisor to the CM Ram Subhag Singh, and Resident Commissioner Meera Mohanty, Sukhu emphasized the need for additional resources to meet the state's developmental goals.
