HP seeks Centre's help for setting up of automated weather stations
Shimla, Oct. 29 -- Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu met union Minister of State for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences Dr. Jitendra Singh in New Delhi on Tuesday evening and sought increased scientific infrastructure in Himachal Pradesh to strengthen disaster preparedness and promote sustainable development. He requested the union Minister to provide one Doppler weather radar and 150 automated weather stations across the state before the next monsoon season to ensure early and accurate warnings of natural disasters.
