Shimla, Nov. 21 -- Himachal Pradesh State Election Commission has revoked the suspension of nine officials who were previously penalized for negligence in preparing the draft voter list, following the completion of its inquiry.
Show-cause notices issued to HAS officer and BDO Bharmour Abhishek Mittal and BDO Nehri Mandi Manmohan Sharma have also been withdrawn, although both officers have been sternly warned against repeating such lapses.
The SEC had earlier suspended a Panchayat Inspector, a Panchayat Sub-Inspector, and seven Panchayat Secretaries on October 24, assigning them to the respective District Panchayat Officer offices. With the suspension now lifted, the officials will return to their original postings.
