Chamba, Oct. 18 -- Officials of Himachal Pradesh's Horticulture Department and Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee (APMC) have been told to interact with commission agent organisations to ensure that the interests of apple and other fruit growers are fully protected.
Presiding over an awareness camp at Teesa in Churah Assembly constituency, state's Horticulture and Public Grievance Redressal Minister Jagat Singh Negi today said the government is committed to ensuring fair prices for horticulturists and transparency in fruit marketing.
He asked officials to guarantee the quality of saplings distributed under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) and supply them only after inspection by the department....
