Shimla, Oct. 1 -- The Himachal Pradesh government has officially cancelled the selection process for the Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (HPERC).
The recruitment drive, which had been advertised on August 14 with applications open until August 30, is now called off, with a notification about the cancellation widely circulated on social media.
Among the contenders for the post were former Chief Secretary Ramsubhag Singh, Prabodh Saxena, and former Electricity Board Chairman Sanjay Gupta.
However, following his retirement, Prabodh Saxena has been appointed as Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board, while Sanjay Gupta has taken over as Chairman of the Pollution Control Board.
