Shimla, March 18 -- Himachal Pradesh High Court has ruled that the State Government is not legally obligated to grant its employees pay scales identical to those of the Punjab Government, reiterating that such matters fall within the exclusive domain of the executive.
Dismissing a batch of petitions filed by technical employees of the Jail Department on Tuesday, Justice Jia Lal Bhardwaj observed that courts could not interfere in pay fixation unless there is a clear violation of constitutional provisions.
