Shimla, Jan. 28 -- The Finance Department of Himachal Pradesh has ordered the release of the remaining pension and family pension arrears of pre-2016 pensioners who have attained the age of 70 years and above, bringing complete relief to this category of beneficiaries.
According to an Office Memorandum issued by the Finance (Pension) Department on January 27, the State Government has approved the payment of the remaining 30 per cent of total pension and family pension arrears arising out of the revision of pension with effect from January 1, 2016. The arrears would be disbursed along with the pension or family pension for the month of January 2026.
