Shimla, Oct. 23 -- The HP State Election Commission has suspended nine officials and employees in Himachal Pradesh for negligence in drafting the voter list. These include a Panchayat Inspector, a Panchayat Sub-Inspector, and seven Panchayat Secretaries. During their suspension, they have been assigned to their respective District Panchayat Officer (DPO) offices.
Similarly, the Election Commission has issued show-cause notices to two BDOs. The Commission has issued show-cause notices to HAS officer and BDO Bharmour Abhishek Mittal and BDO Nehri Mandi Manmohan Sharma, seeking their replies. Upon receiving their replies, the Commission will take action against the BDOs as well.
