Shimla, Oct. 29 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu met with union Minister of State for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, Dr. Jitendra Singh, in New Delhi last evening to press for the installation of essential early warning systems across the state.

The Chief Minister specifically urged the installation of a Doppler Weather Radar in Kinnaur district and 150 Automated Weather Stations across the state before the next monsoon season, citing the unprecedented increase in natural disasters due to the state's geographical location, global warming, and climate change.
