Shimla, March 21 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister presented a Rs 54,928 crore budget for the year 2026-27 in the Assembly on Saturday.
He said the state is facing financial pressure. The budget shows a revenue deficit of Rs 6,577 crore and a fiscal deficit of Rs 9,698 crore (3.40pc of GSDP).
Last year, the revenue deficit was higher at Rs 9,812 crore.
The total receipts for the year 2026-27 are likely to be around Rs 53,555 crore.
The state would get Rs 40,261 crore as revenue receipts and Rs 13,193 crore from the capital account, comprising around Rs 28.45 crore on account of recovery of loans, gross public debt of Rs 11,965 crore and Rs 1,200 crore from provident funds.
