Shimla, July 16 -- Council of Ministers of Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday condoled the death of 13 jawans of Assam Rifles and one civilian in the building collapse near Kumarhatti in Solan district.

The Cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Jia Ram Thakur, also observed two minutes silence as mark of respect to the departed souls.

It conveyed its heartfelt condolences with the bereaved families and prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to the dead.

On Sunday, altogether 14 people were killed when a multistory food eatery, where 42 people were having food, collapsed on Kummarhati-Nahan highway. Twenty-five others sustained critical injuries in the incident.
