Shimla, July 31 -- Himachal Pradesh's Fourteenth Legislative Assembly would commence its monsoon session on August 18, 2025, marking the longest such session in the state's history.
Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla formally summoned the Ninth Session of the Vidhan Sabha through an official notification published in the Himachal Pradesh Extraordinary Government Gazette today.
The session would begin at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 18, in the Vidhan Sabha Hall, Shimla, and continue through September 2, totaling 16 days.
This duration surpasses all previous monsoon sessions in the state's legislative record.
