Hamirpur(HP), Feb. 12 -- An FIR has been registered under the Women's Police Station, Hamirpur, based on a human trafficking complaint. It is suspected that two minor children were brought from Jharkhand for child labor. Both children have been safely rescued.
A woman named Dulari Devi has been arrested in the case.
An official spokesman said that the Child Welfare Committee received a complaint about the case through the Child Helpline number. Acting on the case, the police safely rescued one minor child from Kullu and another from Hamirpur.
According to the police, Dulari Devi brought five minor children from Jharkhand at the behest of a man from Himachal. The money trail in the case is also being investigated.
