Shimla, Feb. 4 -- The Himachal Pradesh government has decided to convene a special one-day session of the state Legislative Assembly on February 17 to discuss the withdrawal of the Revenue Deficit Grant (RDG), though formal consent of the Governor is yet to be received.
A proposal seeking the Governor's approval has already been forwarded by the state government.
Confirming the development, Vidhan Sabha Secretary Yash Pal Sharma told UNI that the government has sought the Governor's consent to convene a one-day special session of the Assembly.
He said the proposal has been sent to Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and the session would be formally notified once approval is received.
