Shimla, Jan. 29 -- The State Food Commission has directed all the district administrations to take immediate steps to ensure an uninterrupted supply of essential foodgrains in snow-affected areas of the state, where recent heavy snowfall has disrupted normal life.
The Commission has observed that snowfall has severely affected power supply in several regions, leading to poor internet connectivity.
As a result, the functioning of Point of Sale (PoS) machines at Fair Price Shops has been impacted, causing delays in the distribution of rations under the Public Distribution System (PDS).
