Shimla, Jan. 17 -- A Revenue Department team was allegedly attacked during a demarcation drive in Raugi panchayat of Kullu district in Himachal Pradesh, triggering sharp reactions from government employees and political leaders.
Patwari Bhop Singh has accused Panchayat Samiti chairman Khekh Ram of assaulting him with sticks for nearly ten minutes during an official exercise to remove encroachment.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred when Bhop Singh, accompanied by a Kanungo and police personnel, reached Raugi panchayat following a written complaint received in August.
