Shimla, Dec. 29 -- The indefinite strike by resident doctors at (IGMC), Shimla, was withdrawn with immediate effect today following assurances from Chief Minister regarding a detailed inquiry and review of the termination of Senior Resident Dr. Raghav Narula.
In a press note issued by the Resident Doctors' Association (RDA), IGMC Shimla, the office-bearers stated that the decision to call off the agitation was taken in the larger public interest after the Chief Minister assured them of the initiation of a comprehensive inquiry into the incident and steps to revoke the termination order against Dr. Narula.
The Association said it reposed faith in the assurances given by the Chief Minister.
