HP: Assistant Professor suspended in 19-year-old student's death case

Shimla, Jan. 3 -- The Himachal Pradesh government has placed an Assistant Professor of Government College, Dharamshala, under suspension in connection with the death of a 19-year-old woman student, following the registration of an FIR and the initiation of departmental proceedings.

According to an official order issued by the Department of Higher Education, the Assistant Professor (Geography) has been suspended with immediate effect pending the outcome of a departmental inquiry.

The suspension order was issued under Rule 10(1) of the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965.
