Shimla, Jan. 17 -- Himachal Pradesh High Court on Friday rejected the pre-arrest bail plea of Aalok Sharma, who has been booked under the new anti-paper leak and recruitment scam law, for allegedly deploying a proxy candidate to appear in a Lab Attendant recruitment examination.
The order was passed by a vacation single bench of Justice Rakesh Kainthla while hearing Sharma's anticipatory bail petition arising out of FIR No. 14/2025 registered at New Shimla police station.
The petitioner had approached the court apprehending arrest by the investigating agency under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the "Public Examinations" (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, enacted to curb paper leaks and irregularities in recruitment processes...
