Shimla, May 19 -- Amid reports of EVMs, around 14 per cent voter turnout was recorded till 0900 hrs in Sunday in four Parliamentary Constituencies of Himachal Pradesh in 7,730 polling booths. Kangra recorded highest 18 per cent polling, followed by Mandi 14 per cent, Una 12 per cent, Shimla 13.5 per cent, Hamirpur 14.5 per cent, Solan 12.4 per cent, Kullu 16.4 per cent, Bilaspur 9 per cent, Sirmaur 12 per cent, Kinnaur 12 per cent, Chamba 12.3 per cent and Lahaul Spiti 9.4 per cent. Additional Chief Electoral Officer Daleep Negi said polling began smoothly as per the schedule without any major delay. Nine EVMs were replaced after glitches were detected during mock polling.
