Kolkata, June 26 -- Inexorably rising property prices, geopolitical tensions, including Operation Sindoor and the Iran-Israel war, impacted housing sales in the top 7 cities in Q2 2025 in India, according to the latest ANAROCK research data.

There was an annual sales drop of 20 per cent with approximately 96,285 units sold in the quarter against approx. 1,20,335 units in Q2 2024.

However, housing sales rose 3 pc Q-o-Q (quarter-over-quarter), MMR (Mumbai Metropolitan Region) and Pune together accounted for over 48 pc of total sales in the top 7 cities, with some 46,685 units cumulatively sold in these cities in Q2 2025.
