Bhubaneswar, Feb. 1 -- The Hot Strip Mill-2 (HSM-2) of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) set a new production benchmark in January 2025, achieving its highest-ever monthly output in terms of slab weight and coil weight.
According to RSP sources, the mill rolled 253,680 tonnes of slabs to produce 247,493 tonnes of coils during the month, surpassing its previous best of 239,320 tonnes of slabs and 232,934 tonnes of coils recorded in October 2024.
On the dispatch front, the mill also achieved its highest-ever monthly dispatch of 26,487 tonnes of HR plates and a cumulative total of 214,835 tonnes of HR coils and HR plates in January 2025.
