Bengaluru, Oct. 13 -- HOSMAT Multispecialty Hospitals today marked its Founder's Day with the unveiling of a bust of its visionary founder Dr Thomas Chandy and the inauguration of a new Outpatient Department (OPD) wing at its Magrath Road facility here.
As part of the celebrations, the hospital continued Dr Chandy's legacy of compassion through its flagship Make Me Walk programme by performing 10 free corrective surgeries for underprivileged children with physical deformities.
Among the beneficiaries was Salman, a 15-year-old from Kolar Gold Fields, born with multiple deformities that hindered his movement. Following complex surgeries on his hands and legs under the programme, he can now stand and walk independently.
