Srinagar, March 1 -- Senior National Conference (NC) leader and law maker Tanvir Sadiq on Saturday expressed confidence that statehood for Jammu and Kashmir will be restored in the coming months.
Speaking to reporters, Sadiq questioned the need for skepticism regarding statehood, emphasizing that the people of J&K should trust the commitments made at various levels.
"We have the verdict of the Supreme Court, the assurance of the Prime Minister and Home Minister, and a resolution from the elected government of Jammu and Kashmir (on Statehood restoration) . So why should we doubt?," he said.
Sadiq who is also the chief spokesman of the party said they will wait for some time for restoration of Statehood.
