Hope SC would give final decision on entire Waqf act soon: AIMIM Chief Owaisi

Hyderabad, Sept. 15 -- AIMIM President and Hyderabad MP, Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday said the Supreme Court has only given an interim order on the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2025 and expressed hope that the Apex court would soon give a final verdict on the entire Act.

The Supreme Court on Monday refused to stay the Waqf Amendment Act 2025.

While reacting over the Apex court's stay on the act, Owaisi in a press conference said, "I believe this is just an interim order, we want the SC to give final decision on this as soon as possible and start hearing it".

"In my opinion, this interim order that has come, the law that the Modi government has made (the NDA has made), this will not protect the work properties" and the encroachers will be rewarded...
