Srinagar, Sept. 20 -- Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's likely visit to the flood-affected areas of the J&K next week, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today hoped that he would announce a good relief package for the people of the union Territory.

"There has been a lot of loss. Lives have been lost especially during the two yatras one in Kishtwar and another in Katra. Our 330 bridges have been washed away, more than 1,500 km of roads destroyed, and many government buildings damaged," Omar told reporters in SrinagarHe added that farms, crops, and horticulture produce had also been severely hit, causing extensive hardship to people across the union Territory.
