Shillong, July 3 -- Nine Traditional Community Healthcare Providers (TCHPs) from across Meghalaya have been certified under the ISO/IEC 17024:2012 standards marking a turning point in the professionalisation of traditional medicine in the state, an official said on Thursday.



These certified traditional healthcare providers were certified following a rigorous evaluation of their expertise in treating common ailments, jaundice, traditional bone setting, and arthritis, State Director, AYUSH, Dr. Joram Beda said.
