New Delhi, July 21 -- The Hong Kong Privacy Watchdog announced an investigation against Louis Vuitton, a French fashion house and luxury retail company headquartered in Paris, France.
The fashion major is under the scrutiny of a major data breach that affected almost 4,19,000 customers. As per the office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, this attack has compromised sensitive information, including passport details, names, email addresses, and shopping preferences.
The Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, or PCPD, is an independent body in Hong Kong. It oversees the smooth implementation and enforcement of the Personal Data Privacy Ordinance (PDPO).
