Shillong, June 25 -- The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Meghalaya Police today recovered a pistol and Rs. 50,000 in cash that was left by Sonam Raghuvanshi and other co-accused in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case.



A police official said one of the accused in the murder case, Silom James led the SIT to the place where the country made pistol with two magazines, two .32 ammunition and the cash were discarded or kept hidden.

James, a property dealer, led the team to a stream where the pistol was thrown, which was recovered this afternoon and the cash was found from his I10 car (MP09WG 2352) which he which he took out from the laptop bag of Raj, Vivek Syiem, the district police chief of East Khasi Hills, said.
