Shillong, June 27 -- Two accused allegedly involved in the murder of an Indore-based businessman Raja Raghuvanshi have refused to give a statement before a magistrate, even as Meghalaya police maintained that they have ample evidence for their involvement in the case.

Akash Rajput and Anand Kurmi - two of the five murder accused - did not want to make a statement before a magistrate as per section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) with regard to the case, Herbert Kharkongor, who is heading the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on the Raja's murder case, said on Friday.
