New Delhi, June 27 -- Hockey India on Thursday congratulated Dr Narinder Dhruv Batra, president, Indian Olympic Association and president, International Hockey Federation and former President, Hockey India on being elected as a Member of the prestigious International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Dr Batra's popularity as a deeply-passionate sports administrator saw him win an overwhelming 58 votes out of the 62 people who cast their vote at the 134th IOC session in Lausanne on Wednesday. He was among the ten members who had been proposed to be elected by the IOC as it's Member by the Executive Board of the IOC.
