Shimla, July 11 -- District Magistrate, Shimla, has ordered the closure of the road from Historic Ridge to Takka Bench during night hours.
This closure is to allow the construction of a pedestal for installing, constructing, or shifting a Flag Post from The Ridge to Takka Bench.
The road would be closed to all vehicle traffic each night from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM starting on the night of July 12, 2025, and ending on the morning of July 13, 2025.
Only emergency vehicles would be permitted, using the Regal route.
The order was issued on July 11, 2025, under Sections 115 & 117 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
