New Delhi, Oct. 24 -- The historic 'Guru Charan Yatra' (Nagar Kirtan) received a major show of reverence in Faridabad, Haryana today, as union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, whose family recently transferred the sacred relics, was present alongside Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini as the Yatra resumed its journey from the NIT Gurdwara in Faridabad.
The Guru Charan Yatra is transporting the revered 'Jore Sahib', the holy footwear of Guru Gobind Singh and Mata Sahib Kaur. These relics were under the custodianship of the Puri family for nearly 300 years until their formal handover to the Sikh community in Delhi, where the Yatra commenced.
