Srinagar, Sept. 17 -- In a first for Jammu and Kashmir institution, the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST-K) has begun hosting a national-level capacity-building programme for All India Service officers.

The three-day training on 'Climate Mitigation and Biodiversity Conservation' brings together Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers from across the country.

Described as a 'conclave of change makers', the event is organised by SKUAST-K's Division of Basic Sciences and Humanities, Faculty of Horticulture and sponsored by the Research andTraining Wing of the union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
