Jammu, Jan. 30 -- RSS Sah-Sarkaryavah Dr. Krishna Gopal today said that Rashtra is an indigenous Indian concept and there is a fundamental difference between the English word 'nation' and the Indian understanding of 'rashtra'.
"The term 'nation' came to India from Western countries and originated from the German language. Countries that functioned strictly on this concept, such as the Soviet union and Pakistan, eventually disintegrated, but India did not.
"This is because India's social conduct is holistic, and its foundation lies in spirituality," Dr Gopal said while addressing advocates as the chief speaker at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh - Ek Samvad programme here at the Conference Hall of the Lawyers' Chambers in the Jammu and Kash...
