Mumbai, Dec. 19 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday described Hinduism as a philosophy and a comprehensive way of life, rather than merely a religion.
Addressing the World Hindu Economic Forum Conference in Mumbai, he said Hinduism is an ancient system that has sustained Indian culture for thousands of years. He asserted that India represents the only continuous civilisation in the world, often referred to as the Indian or Indus Valley civilisation. He said historical evidence indicates that this civilisation flourished even during the Stone Age.
