Nagpur, Jan. 2 -- : Hindu spiritual leader Jagatguru Rambhadracharya criticised Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan over the decision of his IPL franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), to sign a Bangladeshi cricketer, citing concerns over reported violence against Hindus in Bangladesh.
Reacting to KKR's signing of Bangladeshi fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman for the IPL 2026 season, Rambhadracharya on Thursday said in Nagpur that the move was deeply regrettable.
He alleged that Shah Rukh Khan's stance reflected what he described as a "traitorous" mindset.
The seer also condemned the alleged attacks on Hindu minorities in Bangladesh and stated that the Indian government should not remain passive on the matter.
