Malappuram, June 10 -- The Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha has extended its support to CPI(M) candidate M. Swaraj in the Nilambur Assembly bypoll in Kerala.

Hindu Mahasabha state president Swami Dattatreya Sai Swaroopnath claimed that the people of Kerala expect the victory of the ruling CPM-led Left Front in the election.

Saying that the Pinarayi government is working for the development of Kerala, he said the people want the LDF to continue to rule, as the poor section is being supported under the CPM rule.

Kerala is a state without communal riots, and secular parties in India should come forward to support the Left Front for its victory in Nilambur, he added.
