Kolhapur, Oct. 7 -- The right-wing Hindu Janjagran Samiti (HJS) today objected to release of a new Marathi film 'Manache Shlok' with its name, arguing that it was an insult to Samarth Ramdas Swami and a way of trampling on the religious sentiments of crores of Shri Ram devotees and Samarth devotees.
It demanded that producer should change the name of the film before its release.
In a press release issued here, Sunil Ghnwat, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh states organizer of HJS, said "using the name of the holy religious book 'Manache Shlok' composed by Rashtrasant Shri Samarth Ramdas Swami Maharaj and making a Marathi film with the same name is like marketing the faith of Hindus.
