Bengaluru, Sept. 15 -- Karnataka Congress leader Priyank Kharge today said historical inequalities in Hindu society, particularly the Chaturvarna system, led to the emergence of religions like Sikhism, Jainism, Buddhism, and Lingayatism, which were founded on equality and social justice.
Addressing the media, Kharge said, "These religions were born because large sections of society were excluded and denied dignity under the prevailing social order.
