Shillong, Sept. 17 -- Governor C.H. Vijayashankar today urged the youth of Meghalaya to adopt Hindi not just as a classroom subject but as a creative medium in writing, poetry, translation, blogging, digital content, and films.
Speaking at the Hindi Diwas celebration held at Raj Bhavan, Shillong, the Governor underscored that Hindi is not meant to replace or dominate other languages but to serve as a bridge of dialogue, fostering understanding and unity across India's diverse linguistic landscape.
He emphasised that Hindi Divas is not just a celebration of a language, but of India's cultural identity, unity, and diversity.
