Bhubaneswar, Jan. 27 -- Hindalco Industries Ltd, the metals flagship of the Aditya Birla Group, has announced a landmark expansion of its aluminium operations in Odisha, signaling a major boost for local employment, advanced manufacturing, and sustainable industrial growth.
The company unveiled a Rs 21,000-crore, 3.6 lakh-tonne-per-annum smelter expansion and inaugurated a 1.7 lakh-tonne-per-annum Flat Rolled Products (FRP) and battery-grade aluminium foil facility with an investment of Rs 4,500 crore.
The projects, inaugurated by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at the Aditya Aluminium complex in Sambalpur, mark a significant step in India's journey toward self-reliance in advanced materials.
