Bhubaneshwar, Dec. 15 -- Hindalco Industries Limited's unit Hirakud Smelter & Power in Odisha's Sambalpur district has achieved a sustainability milestone with the commissioning of a 100 KLD Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) Plant equipped with Mechanical Vapour Recompression (MVR) technology.
The new facility ensures complete recycling and reuse of industrial effluents, marking a significant step toward sustainable water management and environmental stewardship, the company said in a media release on Monday.
