Shimla, Dec. 21 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu pursuaded three orphans to join state-run hostels promising to offer them free education, pocket money by taking benefit of flagship 'children of the State' scheme.

Congress leader Baldev Thakur shared a video of Sukhu showing him making a passionate appeal to an 18-year-old girl among four siblings showing three in the video calls.

The girl who became orphan following death of her mother recently was foreced to abandon education to teach her two siblings. Moreover, her 15-year-old younger brother is currently engaged in luggage carrier work in Chennai city of Tamil Nadu.
